Research & Consultancy Projects
The School of Management's distinguished record of high quality research includes both theoretical studies to advance the conceptual base of its research areas and applied research commissioned by clients in the UK and overseas. This commissioned research has included and continues to include many projects for all areas and aspects of business at local, national and international levels.

Current research projects
CMLD
Leadershipskills - Excellence through coaching and networking
In partnership with UniSdirect, the School is currently conducting a three-year project looking at 'Excellence in Leadership through Coaching and Networking'. The project, which is funded by the European Social Fund through the Learning and Skills Council will create a coaching network for business leaders in Surrey. Working in conjunction with Business Link Surrey, the Surrey Chambers of Commerce and the Surrey Economic Partnership it aims to create a step-change in the supply of management and leadership training, which is essential for the long-term prosperity of Surrey's economy.

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the HCIMA (Hotel and Catering International Management Association)
A team of academics and research officers within the School are currently working with the HCIMA to develop its e-learning capacity. Funded by a government grant, this project is scheduled to last for 30 months from autumn 2004. Full details of this project are available by clicking here.
