Vision
The School of Management at the University of Surrey holds this conference to bring together delegates wishing to explore the
following aims;
What are the aims of ICOS?
- To explore living openly as spiritual beings and supporting others
to do the same
- To build bridges between the personal world of individual spirituality
and the spiritual aspects of work, society, and culture
- To provide a sacred space for sharing diverse experiences
- To seek ways of renewal for creating a better world.
Why now?
- Many people report a shift in human consciousness that invites us
to waken to the possibilities of our spiritual nature.
- Globalisation fractures the collective and individual psyche; organisational,
social and political policies are all too often driven by fear. The
values and virtues inherent in spiritual traditions are mostly left
out; modern cultures have sidelined the soul. There is a need to reconnect
spiritual development to practical action.
Who is it for?
- Spiritual change agents - people interested in the potential of spirituality
to enhance people's experiences of life and work
- Organisational leaders, educators, community builders (religious and
secular), academics and others who want to experience and discuss the
spiritual dimensions of self and society.
